One of our goals at Breakaway is to support small business. Mainly we do this by providing monthly bookkeeping, goal setting, and advisory meetings with our clients and act as their guide on their business journey.
In working with clients new to our model, we realized that in addition to the millions of businesses that could be served by our existing model, there are lots of “micro businesses” that still need help from an accountant, but aren’t yet large enough to support an ongoing monthly relationship. These incredible businesses are generally ignored and/or overcharged by the existing solutions.
Enter Breakaway Beginnings! We created this offering for the side hustles, the at-home parent rocking direct sales, and the small businesses with big goals that are just getting off the ground.
Here’s how it works; we charge a one-time fee to:
Set up your Xero™ cloud accounting file
Create a custom chart of accounts
Seamlessly connect business bank accounts to bring in transactions from your bank and credit cards, plus show you how to create rules to make the robots do the work (no more data entry or spreadsheets - yay!!)
Enter all beginning balances, plus any owner-paid expenses for the year
Offer training and follow up to make sure you are comfortable before you do it on your own, including 30 days of phone and email support
Tax-ready reports to provide to your return preparer, or for the do-it-yourself preparer
Membership in our Beginnings Community (coming soon!), with other small business owners where you can collaborate, ask questions, and exchange ideas
Optional ongoing monthly email/chat support, so that you can have the accounting answers you need throughout the year
All of this is done by a dedicated Breakaway Advisor who is sincerely dedicated to your success, not a bookkeeping “expert.” They may know debits and credits, but let’s face it, they’re not committed to helping you succeed.
