Eliza provides financial systems and advisory services to service-based businesses and firms in the architecture, engineering, construction and creative industries. Her expertise helps clients gain clarity, confidence, and control over their financial operations.

With more than 15 years experience in small business operations in the engineering and construction industry, Eliza offers the trifecta to her clients: financial oversight and bookkeeping system management, operations and business development, and process implementation and improvement.

Her goal is to develop a true partnership relationship with her clients, serving as their extended arm to direct the company’s financial needs and operations. Being a Breakaway Advisor allows Eliza to blend her business acumen with her love for people—offering clients an experience that’s both professional and personal. 

Eliza previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of City Design Group, a construction, geotechnical and environmental services firm. Eliza’s key focus was to guide the strategic direction of the organization while maintaining and enhancing the family legacy of a second-generation firm, ensuring that CDG continued to excel in quality services. 

She is passionate about community service and is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated; an active committee member of Urban Land Institute; a charter member of the Missouri Women’s Affordable Housing Network; and a graduate of Leadership St. Louis. 

A proud graduate of the University of North Texas, Eliza spent meaningful years in the DFW area and now calls Midlothian, TX home once again. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, decorating cakes and cupcakes, and giving back to her community in meaningful ways.
