Why We Love What We Do

We usually use the space on this blog to provide information and tips for clients and the accounting industry, but every now and then we like to sing the praises of our hard-working advisors.

We realize it’s probably not hard to find someone to maintain your business’ financial accounts. There are lots of competent bookkeepers out there–and an endless array of software–that can add up your dollars and cents.

But, what do those numbers mean, and most importantly–what do you do with them?

Breakaway advisors don’t just make sure transactions match and accounts are balanced. Breakaway advisors are passionate about:

  • Explaining what the numbers mean

  • Listening to our clients’ goals and concerns

  • Consulting with our clients about suggested adjustments

Speaking of one recent client interaction, advisor Rechelle Kennedy said, “I absolutely enjoy working with clients that are eager to learn and get excited about their business’ potential. I get elated when I see the excitement and relief that she experiences every time that we meet.”

Truly, interacting with our clients is our favorite part of what we do!

Rechelle recently started working with a client in the event planning industry, and it provides a perfect example of the benefits each Breakaway advisor brings to their clients.

“I spent time with her reviewing her reports and diving deeper into the specific transactions. We would have conversations around what they were for and how they affected her business, as well as the effect of possible adjustments,” she said.

“Dayna’s business has seen an increase in her revenue now that she can spend more time doing what she loves and less worrying about her bookkeeping. Her expenses have decreased, and her profitability has increased,” said Rechelle. “Many of the changes that she has made have provided her with peace and satisfaction knowing she can worry less. She is thrilled to see the business growing and thriving while doing what she truly loves and is fantastic at!”

For many of our clients, less time spent on bookkeeping + the guidance of a trusted advisor = more satisfaction, and often more revenue.
